On Sunday, 12th October, The Belmont Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, proudly hosted a Wine and Cheese Afternoon in celebration of Silver Sunday, bringing together residents, families, and members of the local community for an afternoon of connection, appreciation, and indulgence.
The event formed part of the wider Silver Sunday celebrations, which aim to honour older generations and combat social isolation by encouraging togetherness through engaging, inclusive events.
Guests were treated to a carefully curated selection of fine wines and artisan cheeses, both local and international, all enjoyed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The afternoon was filled with laughter, conversation, and meaningful moments, making it a true celebration of community.
One guest shared, “It was a lovely afternoon—really special. So nice to be with others and feel appreciated.”
The Belmont always enjoys hosting events that bring people together. Silver Sunday is about recognising the value of connection, and there were many smiling faces and great conversations.
The Belmont team extends sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event, including the volunteers and partners who helped bring the day to life.
Events like Silver Sunday at The Belmont reflect the ongoing commitment to creating community events, celebrating life at every age, and creating opportunities for shared joy and appreciation.
