Residents from Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, enjoyed a trip to Roots Hall, the home of Southend United Football Club, on 29 September 2026.

During the visit, residents were given a fantastic tour of the famous football ground by Sam and Billy, who welcomed the group and shared fascinating insights into the club’s history and traditions.

The tour offered residents the opportunity to explore behind the scenes, discover what happens on match days and learn more about the football club’s heritage. It was also a wonderful chance for residents to reminisce about their own football memories and share stories with one another.

Trips like this are an important part of life at Beauleigh Court, giving residents opportunities to explore their interests, enjoy new experiences and remain connected to the local community, while creating lasting memories together.
