The Belmont care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, celebrated a momentous occasion on Sunday, 20th October, as residents Norma and James marked their 68th wedding anniversary.
Norma and James, who moved into The Belmont in October, were treated to a beautifully arranged celebration in the home’s Private Dining Room. The team extended a warm invitation to their family, including their sons, daughters, and partners, ensuring the day was filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.
The celebration featured a delectable menu, thoughtful decorations, and a cosy atmosphere that allowed the family to reminisce and honour nearly seven decades of marriage. Laughter and heartfelt moments were shared, creating an unforgettable day for all involved.
Elaine, daughter of Norma and James, expressed her gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements:
“I know I speak on behalf of my brothers and myself when I say a huge thank you for hosting Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary yesterday. From welcoming our family to the food and drinks, it was fabulous. Mum and Dad were thrilled to have the chance to spend quality time with family, and apparently, you’re one of us now!”
