Residents at Eve Belle Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, enjoyed a heartwarming visit from pony therapy duo Oscar and Snowy on 25th July, as the friendly four-legged visitors spent the afternoon spreading smiles throughout the home.

The special pet therapy session gave residents the opportunity to meet, stroke, cuddle and spend time with the gentle ponies. As they interacted with Oscar and Snowy, many residents shared fond memories of pets they had owned throughout their lives, enjoyed taking photographs and embraced the chance to connect with the animals.

Animal therapy sessions are a popular part of life at Eve Belle, offering residents meaningful experiences that support emotional wellbeing. Spending time with animals can help reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage conversation, stimulate treasured memories and provide comfort and companionship.

Pauline, a resident at Eve Belle, said:

“I absolutely loved meeting Oscar and Snowy. They were so gentle and friendly. Being around animals always makes me smile and reminds me of the pets I used to have. It was a lovely visit and I hope they come back again soon.”
