Grace Court care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, welcomed residents, relatives and members of the local community for a vibrant afternoon of music, sunshine and rock ‘n’ roll fun.

On 21 August 2026, Grace Court hosted its Songs in the Sunshine community event, bringing together residents and local people from Canvey Island and Benfleet for an afternoon filled with live entertainment, delicious refreshments and plenty of opportunities to make memories together.

The event featured live performances from Contrast and Anthony Mouse, creating an upbeat atmosphere that had residents and guests enjoying the afternoon and getting involved in the celebrations. The home was transformed with a fun rock ‘n’ roll theme, complete with photo props and colourful decorations, while guests enjoyed fresh fruit platters and tailored cocktails.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the Grace Court community to come together and experience the vibrant lifestyle enjoyed by residents at the home. It also helped strengthen connections between Grace Court and the surrounding community, welcoming local people through the doors and showcasing the range of experiences and events residents can enjoy.

Grace Court resident Heather also shared her enjoyment of the event, saying:
