Bellerose Manor Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living group, welcomed a local community police officer for a special ‘Coffee with a Copper’ event, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to meet a member of the local police team, ask questions and learn valuable advice about staying safe in the community.

The event took place on Tuesday 25 August, with residents, staff and members of the local community coming together for a relaxed morning of coffee and conversation.

During the visit, the community police officer spent time getting to know residents and shared useful advice on how to spot potential scams, stay safe and what to do if they have concerns about suspicious activity.

Residents were encouraged to ask questions and share their own experiences, creating an open and friendly conversation. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for residents to build a connection with their local community police team while gaining greater confidence in recognising potential scams and knowing what steps to take if they encounter one.

Events such as ‘Coffee with a Copper’ form an important part of Bellerose Manor’s commitment to engaging with the local community and providing residents with meaningful opportunities to connect with organisations and people in the area.

Reece Lilley, Customer Relations Manager at Bellerose Manor, said: It was a pleasure to be joined by the officer, who shared some valuable information and advice with our residents. They really appreciated the opportunity to ask questions, have a chat and learn more about how to stay safe.”

The event was a positive opportunity for residents to enjoy a friendly chat over coffee while strengthening Bellerose Manor’s connection with the local community.
