Claridge Place Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, proudly launched its brand-new intergenerational Mum and baby group, Tiny Tots & Timeless Tales, on 29 January 2026, creating a heartwarming space where generations could come together in a meaningful and joyful way.
The new group welcomed local mums and their babies into Claridge Place to spend time with residents in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Babies were able to explore and play with specially arranged equipment, while mums enjoyed refreshments, conversation and a chance to unwind. Residents had the opportunity to interact with the babies, creating moments of connection, laughter and shared joy.
The event brought together residents, members of the local community, and the Claridge Place team, including Sales Manager Stacey, reinforcing the home’s commitment to building strong community links and inclusive spaces.
Intergenerational activities such as Tiny Tots & Timeless Tales have a powerful positive impact. For residents, time spent with babies can boost mood, reduce loneliness, and provide a renewed sense of purpose and happiness. Many residents shared how much joy they felt watching the babies smile, move and play, creating meaningful emotional connections.
For babies, gentle interaction with older adults supports early social and emotional development through new voices, facial expressions and warmth. For mums, the group offered a safe, supportive environment to relax, connect with others and feel part of a wider community. Overall, the initiative strengthened community bonds and highlighted the importance of creating spaces where generations can connect and thrive together.
