Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, marked National Cheese Day with a delightful Cheese & Chat event, creating a warm, social celebration for residents, families, and members of the local community.
The event took place on 20 January 2026 in the home’s welcoming bar and café area, where guests were invited to enjoy a curated selection of cheeses paired with a variety of wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A special highlight of the day was a visit from a local farmer from Bradfield’s Farm in Benfleet, who brought along a range of their own farm-made cheeses, giving residents the opportunity to sample and learn more about locally produced food.
Residents, families, and members of the local community came together to share conversation, laughter, and refreshments, turning the afternoon into a lively and uplifting social occasion. What began as a calm cheese and wine gathering quickly evolved into a vibrant celebration filled with energy, connection, and enjoyment.
Many commented on the success of the evening. Reece, Customer Relations Manager, said: “It was a wonderful way to kick-start the year. Residents always enjoy coming together for some cheese and a good chat, but it was especially lovely to welcome Bradfield’s Farm, who gave everyone the chance to sample their own delicious cheese. It really added something special to the occasion.”
Kelly, Lifestyle Coordinator, said it was “A blast of fun from start to finish! We expected it to be a low-key cheese and wine event but it turned into a cheese party.”
Events like this play an important role in community life at Beauleigh Court. They encourage residents to socialise, strengthen relationships, and enjoy meaningful shared experiences, helping to create a strong sense of belonging and togetherness within the home.
