Chalkwell Grange Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, hosted a vibrant and heartwarming Family and Friends Fun Day on 30 May 2026, bringing together residents, relatives, friends, and staff for a celebration filled with entertainment and shared enjoyment.

The event featured a wide range of activities designed to appeal to all ages, including a giant reptile experience, bouncy castle, outdoor games, live entertainment, an ice cream station, a barbecue, and a large raffle with a selection of prizes. Guests were also encouraged to take part in themed dressing-up activities, adding to the fun and lively atmosphere throughout the day.

Organised by the Lifestyle Team, the event aimed to strengthen connections between residents and their loved ones while promoting the welcoming and inclusive community that Chalkwell Grange strives to create.

One relative said, “I am so pleased my nan is living here, Chalkwell Grange truly is a wonderful home and I enjoy coming here.”

The atmosphere on the day was described as full of excitement, laughter, and smiles, with residents and visitors engaging enthusiastically in the activities and entertainment.

Highlights of the event included a resident choir performance, as well as residents delivering speeches and performing a selection of songs, which were warmly received by all in attendance.
