Residents at Bellerose Manor Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living group, enjoyed a heartwarming afternoon on Sunday 16 August when a very special four-legged visitor, Peaches the pony, arrived at the home.

Residents and members of the team came together to welcome Peaches, who spent time visiting residents and receiving plenty of gentle fuss, strokes and cuddles. Her visit brought smiles throughout the home and created a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy a memorable afternoon together.

Animal visits can have a particularly positive impact on residents, offering moments of joy, companionship and comfort. Spending time with animals can also encourage conversation, interaction and reminiscence, creating meaningful experiences for residents to share with one another and with the care team.

Reece Lilley, Customer Relationship Manager, said: “It was a joy to welcome Peaches to Bellerose Manor. It really uplifted the residents day being able to say hello and pet the lovely pony.”

Resident Iris also enjoyed meeting Peaches, saying: “It was lovely seeing the pony. She came into my room and she was so cute!”

The visit was a lovely example of Bellerose Manor’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences and enriching daily life for its residents, with opportunities to enjoy new experiences, spend time with animals and make special memories together.
