Bellerose Manor Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living group, welcomed residents, families, staff and members of the local community for a special fundraising afternoon on 18 August 2026, raising an impressive £133.50 for Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland.
The event brought people together to enjoy an afternoon of homemade treats, fundraising and community connections. Bellerose Manor was delighted to welcome Laura York, Head of Marketing & Fundraising at Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, alongside members of the local community, including Caroline from Radfield Home Care and Sheela from Vita Health Group.
Guests were treated to a fantastic selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats prepared by the Bellerose Manor kitchen team, including Victoria sponge, sticky toffee pudding slices, brownies and chocolate chip muffins.
A raffle was also held, with a selection of prizes available to win, including a neck massager and an M&S gift voucher.
The fundraiser provided a wonderful opportunity for the wider community to come together while supporting a charity that does valuable work with older people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The event also helped strengthen Bellerose Manor’s links with the local community and highlighted the importance of supporting meaningful local causes.
