Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, was delighted to welcome the wonderful therapy dogs, Mitsy and Daisy, from Essex Therapy Dogs on 18th February 2026. The visit brought warmth, companionship, and smiles to residents and staff alike.
Essex Therapy Dogs is a local volunteer-led organisation providing trained therapy dogs to care homes, hospitals, schools, and community groups across Essex. Their visits are designed to support wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and bring comfort and companionship. Spending time with the dogs has been shown to help lower anxiety, encourage conversation, stimulate memories, particularly for those living with dementia, and boost overall mood.
Residents and staff at Beauleigh Court enjoyed spending quality time with Mitsy and Daisy, engaging with them in a way that encouraged social interaction and lifted spirits.
