Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, celebrated the summer in style with an exciting Sports Day bringing together residents, relatives, and staff for a day of friendly competition.
The event was held in the beautiful Beauleigh Court garden, where everyone had the chance to take part in fun games and activities, including a lively tug of war. Others enjoyed cheering on their friends and family, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Hannah Hargrave, Home Manager at Beauleigh Court, said:
“It was a fantastic day filled with fun, energy, and a real sense of togetherness. Events like this give everyone a chance to enjoy the sunshine, share laughs, and create wonderful memories.”
Residents were equally enthusiastic about the day:
SS shared, “It was good fun and I enjoyed it.” YR said, “It was absolutely fantastic and nobody pushed people to take part if they did not want to. It was just lovely.” AG added, “It was good and I really enjoyed everyone taking part and getting involved. I loved all of it!”
The idea for Sports Day came after the success of the recent Summer Carnival, with the team keen to create another outdoor event to make the most of the summer. The day was filled with smiles, applause, most notably, the Home Manager falling into a bush during tug of war! It was also inspiring to see residents with reduced mobility joining in and enjoying several of the games.
This memorable event highlighted the importance of fun, social connection, and staying active, all while fostering a wonderful sense of community at Beauleigh Court.
