Beauleigh Court Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, hosted a special appreciation afternoon on 16 September 2026, bringing residents and colleagues together to celebrate the hard work and dedication of its kitchen team.

The afternoon was organised by Home Manager Hannah, who arranged what the team believed would be a “catch-up meeting”. Instead, the kitchen team were surprised with a beautifully prepared private dining room, complete with delicious food and thoughtful touches to show how much their contribution is valued.

Adding a personal touch to the celebrations, residents also helped prepare some of the food, including a delicious Biscoff cheesecake. Their involvement made the afternoon a wonderful opportunity for residents and colleagues to come together and show their appreciation.

As a special thank you, Hannah arranged personalised chopping boards for the chefs and personalised aprons for the kitchen assistants. Residents also created special cards for the team, sharing their thanks and recognition for everything they do.

The kitchen team at Beauleigh Court play an important role in the daily lives of residents, preparing delicious and nutritious meals while catering to individual needs, preferences and dietary requirements. Their dedication helps ensure mealtimes are enjoyable experiences and contributes to the welcoming, homely atmosphere at Beauleigh Court.

Taking the time to recognise the kitchen team provided residents and colleagues with an opportunity to celebrate their hard work and the difference they make every day. Moments of appreciation such as this help strengthen team spirit and highlight the importance of every colleague’s contribution to life at the home.
