Claridge Place Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, hosted a heartwarming Ms Rachel-themed fundraiser on Thursday 27th August, bringing residents, relatives and families from the local community together to raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The morning was inspired by Ms Rachel, the much-loved early learning entertainer known for her engaging songs, activities and educational content for babies and young children. Guests were welcomed into Claridge Place alongside their babies and grandchildren for a morning filled with sensory activities, music, play and plenty of smiles.

Adding to the fun, Stacey Debney-Webber, Senior CRM at Claridge Place, took on the role of Ms Rachel for the morning, creating an engaging and interactive experience for the little ones and residents alike.

The event was held in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice, which provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.

As well as raising money for an important cause, the fundraiser provided a wonderful opportunity for different generations to come together within the care home. Residents were able to spend meaningful time with babies and young children, creating moments of connection, laughter and joy.

The morning was particularly special for residents living with dementia, offering an opportunity to enjoy the moment, take part in activities and experience the happiness that comes from spending time with younger generations. Babies and children are always warmly welcomed at Claridge Place, and their presence brought a wonderful energy to the home.
