Graysford Hall, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, welcomed children from Nursery Rhymes Nursery and Pre-School for a special Teddy Bears’ Picnic, bringing residents and the community together for a morning of fun, laughter and shared memories.

The event, held on Tuesday 25 August, saw children and residents come together for a teddy bear-themed morning, with everyone bringing along their favourite cuddly companion.

Residents and children enjoyed a range of games and activities together, with the little ones excitedly sharing stories about their teddy bears and spending time getting to know the residents. Everyone then sat down to enjoy a picnic lunch, creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere for the whole group.

To make the occasion even more memorable, each child was given a special Sanders Senior Living bear to take home as a keepsake from their visit.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is part of Graysford Hall’s commitment to building meaningful connections with the local community and creating opportunities for residents to spend time with younger generations. Intergenerational activities such as these provide a wonderful opportunity for residents and children to share experiences, enjoy one another’s company and create lasting memories together.

Leanne Simms, Customer Relations Manager, said: “We were so pleased to welcome the children and staff from Nursery Rhymes to Graysford Hall and spend the morning playing games with the residents. Seeing the children made everyone’s hearts warm up. It is so important to us to engage with our local community, and we were only too happy to provide everyone with a lovely picnic and a teddy bear to take home.”

The morning was a wonderful celebration of community and connection, with plenty of smiles and laughter shared between residents and their young visitors.
