Residents at Chalkwell Grange Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, enjoyed a heartwarming afternoon of feline fun on 6 May 2026, when Customer Relations Manager Katie Relph brought in her cat, Max, for a special visit.

The event, affectionately titled “Moggie Mischief at Chalkwell Grange,” gave residents the opportunity to spend quality time with Max, enjoying cuddles, gentle strokes, and the calming companionship that animals can bring. Max quickly became the centre of attention, delighting everyone and creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home.

Animal interaction sessions are an important part of enriching life for residents, providing emotional comfort, sparking memories, and offering a unique experience that many find deeply meaningful.

The atmosphere during the visit was filled with smiles and emotion, as residents connected with Max and shared stories of pets they had loved over the years.One particularly touching moment came when resident Gill spent time stroking Max and reminiscing about her own five previous cats.

The event was a resounding success, leaving residents uplifted and already looking forward to Max’s next visit.
