The Belmont care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, embraced the Halloween spirit with a fun-filled celebration on Tuesday, 31st October. Residents, their family members, and guests from the community’s Connect Café group came together to enjoy a spectacular Halloween party, with donations from the event raising £51.50 for the ongoing Grow Your Dough challenge in support of St Richard’s Hospice.
The Belmont was transformed into a spooky wonderland for the occasion. The festivities began with a buffet-style lunch for the residents, setting the tone for an afternoon of fun and connection. Guests were then treated to an outstanding performance by entertainer Miss Ruby Red, who brought energy and excitement with a mix of music and singing. The lively atmosphere saw residents, staff, and family members taking to the dance floor to showcase their moves and enjoy the rhythm of the day.
Following the entertainment, attendees relaxed with tea, coffee, and a selection of delicious cakes, rounding off the event in a warm and social setting. The commitment of residents, families, and staff to dressing up for the event added an extra touch of magic, with costumes ranging from the spooky to the delightful.
Carla Sidaway, Customer Relations Manager at The Belmont, shared her thoughts:
“The afternoon was a great success and really enjoyed by all. Family members have been commenting on how much fun they had. The residents loved the buffet lunch and the chance to socialise and break from their usual routines. Seeing the laughter and smiles made the whole day fantastic and truly enjoyable.”
