Residents at Claridge Place Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, marked International Women’s Day with a vibrant and inclusive “Sip and Paint” event held on 9 March 2026, bringing together residents and members of the wider community for an afternoon of creativity, connection and celebration.

The event, themed “This is Me,” encouraged participants to express their individuality through art by painting something that represents who they are. Each resident was provided with their own personal easel, creating a relaxed and supportive environment for self-expression.

Claridge Place was also delighted to welcome seven guests from Royal Star and Garter Care Home, including four day-care residents and three members of staff, further strengthening community ties.

Specifically designed to celebrate women, the event aimed to create a meaningful space where attendees could connect, combat feelings of isolation, and feel truly valued. It offered an opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence and enjoy a shared sense of empowerment.

Stacey, Senior Customer Relations Manager at Claridge Place, said:
“For me, this event was about giving women the chance to connect, be themselves and be celebrated. It was so wonderful to welcome the lovely ladies from Royal Star and Garter—we had a great afternoon and we can’t wait to welcome them back.”
