Graysford Hall Care Home continues its commitment to enhancing resident well-being by fulfilling heartfelt wishes. In June, residents had the joy of granting Angela’s wish to visit the new Queen Elizabeth II statue in Oakham, alongside fulfilling another resident’s smaller wish, Doreen’s visit to her favourite butchers in Oakham Centre for Haslet.

On 6th of June, members of Graysford Hall’s dedicated wellbeing team and their driver accompanied a group of residents, including Angela and Doreen, for a special outing to Oakham. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Oakham County Museum, where Angela and fellow residents immersed themselves in local history and culture. This was followed by a delightful lunch at the historic Old Buttercross Pub.

Angela, known for her deep admiration and interest in the royal family, eagerly awaited the opportunity to see the Queen Elizabeth II statue, having followed its development closely and expressing a long-standing desire to see it in person. Fulfilling Angela’s wish was a momentous occasion for her and underscored the importance of creating meaningful experiences for residents at Graysford Hall.

Jayne Hill and Sarah Hadfield, members of the Wellbeing team at Graysford Hall Care Home, reflected on the trip: “It was heartwarming to witness Angela’s excitement as she saw the statue. Her lifelong admiration for the royal family made this outing incredibly special for her and all the residents who joined us.”

Fulfilling wishes such as Angela’s is a testament to the Sanders Senior Living Group’s commitment to resident-centred care, enriching lives, and creating lasting memories.
