Residents and families at Bellerose Manor Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living group, enjoyed a special visit from Steve and his guide dog, Tango, on 23 October, learning more about the important role guide dogs play in supporting people with sight loss.

The visit gave residents the opportunity to meet Tango, hear about the work of guide dogs and discover more about the unique bond between a guide dog and its owner. The session sparked plenty of interest, questions and conversations, creating an enjoyable and engaging experience for everyone involved.

The visit brought smiles and laughter to the home, with residents and their families appreciating the opportunity to learn something new while sharing a special experience together.

Dixie Rajput, Customer Relations Manager at Bellerose Manor, said: “Our residents and their families absolutely loved meeting Tango and learning more about the incredible work guide dogs do to support people with sight loss. There was so much interest and excitement, with plenty of questions, making it a truly special and engaging visit.

“Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces, sharing stories and learning more about the amazing bond between Steve and Tango made the occasion even more memorable. We are incredibly grateful to Steve and Tango for taking the time to visit us and bring so much happiness to our home.”

Bellerose Manor is committed to creating meaningful experiences that bring residents, families and the wider community together. Visits such as these provide opportunities for residents to explore new interests, share experiences and build memories.

The team would like to thank Steve and Tango for their visit and for bringing so much joy to Bellerose Manor.
