Residents and staff at Chalkwell Grange Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, came together to celebrate International Charity Day with a fun-filled cupcake decorating competition, raising more than £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event brought residents, staff and the wider Chalkwell Grange community together for an afternoon of creativity, laughter and fundraising, with participants putting their decorating skills to the test to create an array of colourful and imaginative cupcakes.

Led by Wellbeing Lead Andrea, the celebration provided residents with the opportunity to enjoy a hands-on activity while supporting a charity that is close to the hearts of many families.

Guests and participants were invited to make donations throughout the event, with the cupcake competition helping Chalkwell Grange raise over £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event was a wonderful example of how Chalkwell Grange continues to create meaningful opportunities for residents to connect, get involved in the community and support important causes.

The home is looking forward to continuing its support for the Alzheimer’s Society in the future, with further fundraising and community initiatives already in the pipeline. This will include supporting Chalkwell Grange resident Pete, who is taking part in a sponsored bike ride to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
