Residents and staff from Grace Court care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, were delighted to embark on their very first minibus trip on 29 October 2025, marking a wonderful milestone for the home and its growing community.
The group enjoyed a creative and laughter-filled day out, beginning with a visit to The Craft Shed, where residents took part in a pottery painting session. Each resident was given an animal to paint, sparking creativity and plenty of smiles. After their artistic morning, the group headed to The Windmill for a delicious meal and refreshments, rounding off the day with good food, great company, and plenty of laughter.
Residents Carmen, Maggie, and Val joined Lifestyle Coordinator Ronel and Minibus Driver Ben on the trip. The outing was a truly great first journey in Grace Court’s new minibus.
Ronel, Lifestyle Coordinator at Grace Court, shared how special the day was for everyone involved:
“Our first outing was fantastic. From the get-go, Carmen, one of our residents, and Ben our Minibus Driver had 80’s music playing in the van which set the mood for our day trip. The Craft Shed was brilliant and gave all the residents an animal to paint once we arrived which was so heartwarming as you could tell they loved getting to paint and be creative. Afterwards we finished our trip at The Windmill for some good food and loads of laughter. It was brilliant!”
The trip represents an exciting step forward for Grace Court, reflecting its commitment to promoting meaningful experiences, independence, and a strong sense of community among residents.
