Chalkwell Grange, part of the Sanders Senior Living group, hosted a truly spectacular event on 23rd October: the Elegance Extravaganza Bridal Fashion Show. This unique occasion, held in collaboration with local boutique Blush Bridal, saw staff and residents come together for an afternoon of glamour, nostalgia, and joy.
As part of this memorable experience, nine stunning wedding dresses were loaned by Blush Bridal. Staff members at Chalkwell Grange, including Lifestyle Coordinators Sarah Turner and Heather Slade, Concierge Andrea Kitts, Head of Housekeeping Maria Millgate, and Maintenance Man Dave Orrin, took to the runway to model these beautiful gowns. Adding a charming touch to the show, male residents Frank and George donned their suits and escorted the ‘brides’ down the aisle, embodying the true spirit of the event.
This special day was not only a celebration of elegance but also a chance for residents to reminisce about their own wedding days. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, heartfelt stories, and shared memories, making the event both meaningful and uplifting.
The event left a profound impact on all involved. Resident Frank shared his delight, saying:
“It made me feel 10 feet tall walking with the beautiful ladies down the aisle. Shame there wasn’t more room, lol! I loved seeing everyone’s faces—they were all so happy. But for a change, it wasn’t the ‘Frank Show,’ it was a bridal show!”
Fellow resident George added:
“I thoroughly enjoyed it, felt very privileged being in the company of such lovely ladies. I’m looking forward to the next one!”
