Wilton Manor Care Home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Group, proudly hosted a vibrant fundraising event in support of the Air Ambulance’s “Go Yellow Together” campaign, bringing residents, staff, and members of the local community together for a day of celebration and charitable giving.

The event saw attendees dressed in bright yellow to demonstrate their support for the vital life-saving service. Guests enjoyed a special musical performance by the Melton U3A Generation Gap Orchestra, creating a lively atmosphere. A bake sale, organised by residents and staff, further contributed to the fundraising efforts.

Following the event, residents visited the Hangar Air Ambulance charity shop to personally donate the funds raised, highlighting their commitment to supporting the cause. Residents Gill, Janet, and Lesley played a particularly meaningful role in the initiative, as longstanding supporters of the Air Ambulance.

Beth, Customer Relations Manager at Wilton Manor, commented:

“It was a wonderful day bringing everyone together for such an important cause. The Air Ambulance means a great deal to many of our residents, particularly Gill, Janet and Lesley, who regularly support the charity. Seeing the community come together, enjoy the music, and raise money was truly special, and we were proud to visit the charity shop afterwards to donate what we had raised.”

The Air Ambulance provides essential emergency medical care within the community, often making the difference between life and death. Supporting this service holds special significance for many at Wilton Manor, and the event not only raised valuable funds but also strengthened community bonds and provided residents with an opportunity to champion a charity close to their hearts.
