Celebrating pride month at Claridge Place
Claridge Place care home in Solihull hosted a very special Pride Month celebration on Friday the 23rd of June.
Residents and the team decorated the home in a colourful array of balloons and flags, with an afternoon of entertainment, celebrating love and equality.
With a variety of rainbow themed cakes and refreshments, the care home enjoyed a sing-along to popular showtunes to get everyone in the feel-good spirit.
Pride Month brings awareness to the LGBTQIA+ community, the history of equality, and people’s fight for change. The event at Claridge Place was a time to reflect on the progress made for LGBTQIA+ equality and acknowledge that we stand in solidarity for all those who have fought so hard over the years to achieve progress.
Stacey Debney-Webber, Senior Customer Relations Manager, said: ““At Claridge Place, we believe in love, acceptance, freedom and inclusion. It is important to us that all our residents, families and team members feel comfortable and proud of who they are! We had a wonderful day celebrating pride and we were very proud to host such an important event.”
