Local MP, Robin Walker, visits The Belmont

The Belmont care home, part of the Sanders Senior Living Collection, officially opened its doors on the 7^th of February this year, and the team have already made active efforts to play an important part within their community. 

The Belmont team have enjoyed welcoming members of the community to come and see the beautiful home and the caring environment that they have created. The team were lucky to receive a very important visit from Local MP, Robin Walker, and were so thrilled to have the chance to give Robin a tour of their home.

Robin received a warm welcome from the team, including Home Manager, Sandie Preece, and the home’s first resident, Heather. Robin commented:

“It was a pleasure to visit this smart new home and to see the evident care and attention that has gone into designing it, as well as to meet the first resident and hear how brilliantly she is being looked after. The team are clearly excited to be working there and it was wonderful to hear how they have already formed a strong working relationship with the primary school next door. I’ve no doubt residents will benefit from their interactions with the school and the excellent facilities on offer at the home.”

Home Manager, Sandie Preece, was delighted with the visit, and commented:

“I was thrilled that Robin could visit our beautiful home. I am so proud of what we have already accomplished here at The Belmont and being able to showcase that to Robin was a great honour. The team and I are determined to create an inclusive culture where members of our community can pop in freely for a tea or coffee and a chat. We look forward to welcoming Robin to our home again.”

The team would like to send a big thank you to Robin Walker for taking the time from his schedule to visit. The Belmont will be a warm and welcoming place for all within the local community and everyone at the home are looking forward to continuing to form meaningful connections with its members.
