Sanders Senior Living spread the love on Valentine's Day
On Valentine’s Day, Care Homes within the Sanders Senior Living Group have helped spread love to their communities, leaving red roses and sweet treats around the town and gifting them to members of the community too.
At Sanders Senior Living, staff teams value the role that the community plays in helping to provide residents with a stimulating, inclusive and welcoming environment. So, this Valentine’s Day, both residents and staff wanted to say thank you, and show the affection they have for their wonderful communities with this year’s Valentine’s community engagement initiative.
The team at The Belmont and Graysford Hall were excited to put the lovely initiative into action. With red roses in hand, the team made their way through their town spreading love and community spirit.
At Graysford Hall, the team delivered their roses, along with some other goodies, to a local wellbeing coffee meeting at the local church, in Stoneygate, Leicester.
For those at The Belmont, the initiative involved leaving the branded roses around Worcester, for passers-by to find. The team also left home-made knitted hearts and a heartfelt message for that special added touch.
A spokesperson for Sanders Senior Living commented:
“Our communities are an integral part of our homes. By developing meaningful connections with those in our communities, we open up further opportunities for our residents. The positive feelings of belonging and comfort that our communities bring to our homes is one of the key reasons we wanted to get them involved in our home’s Valentine’s Day celebrations, which was all about celebrating our relationships and connections. The day’s events also linked well with our dignity theme of the month, “We are all Family”, which focuses primarily on the importance of family, and how we are all family. It also encourages teams to celebrate the flourishing relationships we have formed.”
