Claridge Place and BHBNradio Team Up
Claridge Place have taken advantage of BHBNradio's generous offer of a donated Internet Radio. Paul Stanley, Director of BHBNRadio, delivered the radio to the homes' Wellbeing Lead, Stuart Hancock. Residents at the home are excited to enjoy the various programmes offered by BHBNRadio on their new radio!
According to research undertaken by national charity, Age UK, music can be extremely beneficial for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia by connecting and stimulating memories, which can often result in a personal response. Playing music from a significant period or event in a person's life, such as a song from their wedding, can help recall special memories and emotions.
Residents can request songs to hear on BHBNRadio - to request a song for a loved one or relative at Claridge Place, call 0121 471 4774 and leave a voicemail, or email requests@bhbn.net.
